La La Guna and El Bahia Mexican Restaurants and Happy Garden Oriental Restaurant offers international treats, while others like Subway, Friends, Heavenly’s and the Top Hand Café offer great food with a chance to meet the locals. Remember that mouth watering meals can be found at Lear’s Main Street Pub & Grill, and the Range Rider Saloon. Ummmmm! Love that steak and the cheeseburgers. For a special treat, stop by New York Richie’s. You’ll not only enjoy the yummy pizzas and special sandwiches, the owner is a kick.
If you are driving through Lostine, don’t hesitate to take your family in to the Lostine Tavern for a super breakfast or scrumptious cheeseburger.
If you are in a hurry while driving through Wallowa, pull up to the Little Bear Drive Thru and order one of their great meals and famous shakes to go. If you have time to relax for a great steak dinner, try Plush West Steak House & Saloon.
Dianne’s Kitchen has a great breakfast or try the Cougar’s Den for Pizza.

Shopping in Wallowa County is a unique experience.
From Wallowa Lake’s quaint General Store and gift shops to Lostine’s Antique store, Joseph’s Sports Corral, and Enterprise’s Deb’s Young Fashion, there is something for everyone.
There are numerous galleries, book stores, gift shops and antique stores for your browsing pleasure. On the trail of something special? Take home a bronze sculpture from one of the many galleries, or a beaded accessory for that someone special from To Zion in downtown Joseph.
This year will see the grand opening of a distillery of fine spirits in Joseph, and next door will be a brewery of local beers.
The many artists in the county have items including pottery, photography & paintings in local shops and galleries. You can also find fly fishing gear, local made coffee and canned jams, jellies and candy, sporting goods, clothing, breads & pastries, jewelry, log furniture, home furnishings, and horse tack to just name a few.
