All along the Imnaha River to the north and south of town, you will find many small farms mixed in with larger ranches. The size of these parcels will vary from five to forty acres.
Many of these properties are fairly level with fertile soil, and irrigation rights from the river, making them excellent fruit and vegetable farms.
Many of the local property owners provide produce to Farmers Markets in Joseph and Enterprise.
Imnaha is considered the “Banana Belt” with temperatures usually about 12 to 15 degrees warmer on the summer and winter months, then “out on top” in the Joseph and Enterprise area.
